Terms of Service
These Terms govern your use of WPMate, the website at wpmate.ai, the WPMate dashboard, the WPMate MCP connector and the WPMate Connector WordPress plugin (together, the "Service"). The Service is provided by PILOTLAB LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you use the Service for a company, you confirm you can bind that company to them.
1. What WPMate does
WPMate lets AI assistants you choose (such as Claude or ChatGPT) read and change WordPress sites you connect, through tools we provide. Some actions run immediately; others, such as publishing, deleting and installing or updating code, wait for your approval in the dashboard. WPMate is not affiliated with or endorsed by the WordPress Foundation, Anthropic or OpenAI.
2. Your account and your sites
- You must give an accurate email address and keep your password and connected AI assistants secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.
- Only connect WordPress sites you own or are authorized to manage. The plugin acts with the permissions of the administrator who connected it.
- You can disconnect a site, or sign out all AI assistants, at any time from the dashboard.
3. AI actions are your responsibility
AI assistants can make mistakes. You are responsible for the instructions you give, for reviewing changes before you approve them, and for the content published on your sites. Keep your own backups. Revisions and snapshots WPMate creates help you undo changes but are not a backup service and are not guaranteed to be complete.
4. Acceptable use
You must not use the Service to: break the law or infringe others' rights; publish malware, phishing, spam or deceptive content; access sites or systems you are not authorized to; probe, overload or attack the Service or attempt to bypass plan limits; or resell the Service except as allowed by an Agency plan. We may suspend accounts that put the Service, other customers or the public at risk.
5. Plans, billing and renewal
- The Starter plan is free. Paid plans (Pro and Agency) are billed monthly or yearly in advance in US dollars through Stripe. Prices are shown on our pricing page and at checkout, plus any applicable taxes.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled. You can cancel anytime from Billing → Manage billing; your plan stays active until the end of the paid period and then moves to Starter.
- Plan changes made in the billing portal are prorated by Stripe.
- If a payment fails, we may keep your plan active while Stripe retries the card, and move you to Starter if payment is not received.
- We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice by email. Changes apply from your next renewal.
6. Refunds
If you are not happy with your first paid subscription payment, email support@wpmate.ai within 14 days of that payment for a full refund. Renewal payments are not refundable except where the law requires, but you can cancel at any time to stop future renewals.
7. Plan limits and fair use
Each plan includes a daily number of AI actions (tool calls) and a number of sites, as shown on the pricing page. Limits reset daily at midnight UTC. We may limit automated traffic that harms the Service.
8. Your content and data
You keep all rights to your sites and content. You give us permission to process them only as needed to provide the Service. Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and how we use it.
9. Changes and availability
We work to keep the Service available but do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error free. We may change or discontinue features. If we discontinue a paid plan, we will refund the unused portion of any prepaid period.
10. Disclaimer
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, PILOTLAB LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill, including loss of website content. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or US$100 if greater.
12. Indemnity
You will defend and indemnify PILOTLAB LLC against third-party claims arising from your content, your sites, or your breach of these Terms.
13. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time by contacting support. We may suspend or end your access for serious or repeated breaches of these Terms. Sections 3, 10, 11, 12 and 14 survive termination.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts located in Wyoming have exclusive jurisdiction, except that either party may seek injunctive relief anywhere. Nothing here limits rights you have under mandatory consumer law where you live.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. For material changes we will email account holders at least 14 days before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the updated Terms.
